On Friday 4th of September, we will be holding welcome drinks for all of you already here that day!
On Saturday 5th of September, the wedding will happen at the West-Indisch Huis. The ceremony will start there at 16h30. We've planned a special cocktail hour (surprise, surprise!) before dinner is held from 18h30. We'll party until 3h!
The history of het West-Indisch Huis goes back to the seventeenth century.Fun fact: It's here that the West India Company ordered the construction of the fortress New Amsterdam on the island of Manhattan... and laid the foundation for New York!
Getting to Amsterdam from Schipol Airport is easy via train. The station is literally located beneath the airport's main hall, and trains run between Amsterdam Central Station and Schiphol 8 times per hour.
You can also get an Uber from the airport by following the signs "App Pick-up Point".The West-Indisch Huis is just a short walk away from Amsterdam Centraal Station (10 min walk). The nearest bus stop is Buiten Brouwersstraat (bus 18 and bus 21).
We are currently negotiating prices and blocks with some hotels. This section will be updated soon. For the adventurous ones, you can sleep on a houseboat nearby, available via Airbnb. We have started a list of airbnbs you could stay at, if you prefer. They are either for 2 or 4 guests (some of them include baby cots), and are located around the wedding location or in our neighborhood.
Info coming
Amsterdam is a big part of our love story, and we want to share the love with you! So here are a few things you can do in this magical city.
Every Saturday, most of the Amsterdamers go to this market. You can find biological veggies, colorful flowers, vintage clothes, antiquities, delicious lunch options, and so much more. Everyone look forward to the weekend just to go to that market... and complains when it's too busy. Strolling there is an experience on its own!
If you're in for a treat if you like a cultural visit,! Visit the Van Gogh museum for an immersion into the life of one of the greatest; the Stedelijk (a personal favorite of Mel) is full of modern art icons; the FOAM or Huis Marseille host great photo exhibitions; and of course, visiting Anne Frank's house is now more important than ever.

Meeting each other was fate... or was it?
Both of us had the same friends, worked at the same company (RIP TravelBird), looked like a Wish version of Harry and Meghan, were each other's type...
But little birdies told us NOT to get involved. So we listened. For like 3 hours. Then we created this masterpiece and the rest is history.
